Hi, I'm Aprajita (uh-PRAH-ji-ta). My name is often new to people, so please don't worry about getting it right. I'm glad you're here. Our emotions are not always easy to understand, especially when they feel overwhelming, confusing, or difficult to navigate. You may find yourself feeling stuck in recurring patterns, disconnected from yourself or others, or struggling with anxiety, self-doubt, life transitions, or questions of identity and belonging. As a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), Certified Music Therapist, and Neurologic Music Therapy Affiliate, I support individuals across the lifespan through a relational, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive approach. With over five years of experience supporting individuals and groups in therapeutic settings, I work collaboratively with clients to foster self-awareness, emotional resilience, and connection to their inner resources. I integrate talk therapy with music-based interventions to support emotional expression, regulation, and self-understanding. No musical experience or training is required. The focus is not on performance or talent, but on creating meaningful opportunities for reflection, growth, and healing. As a South Asian immigrant and therapist, I bring both lived and clinical understanding of how identity, cultural expectations, and belonging can shape our experiences and relationships. My goal is to create a space where all aspects of your experience are welcomed and explored at a pace that feels safe and supportive.
